About a week ago, Threads user Jeff Goh (@travelingsingledad )posted an open invite to “smoke a cigarette” with him.
In his post, he mentioned that the venue depended on how many people would be attending.
He also stated that the gathering will happen on Sunday (18 January).
“Just trying to reconnect all smokers together. No rallies, this is just a fun one-off event. Smoke a cigarette with me,” he said in the post caption.
He even set rules for the meet
To be safe, Jeff set a few important ground rules and requests for those wish to join the smokers meet:
- No underage smokers.
- Only tobacco smokers, no electronics.
- Bring your own cigarettes, no freebies.
- Keep the area clean.
- Need help or collaborations for Kuala Lumpur, suggestions much appreciated.
- Do we need a permit for this?
In his list, he also mentioned that he was looking for ash tray and rubbish bin sponsors.
The invite managed to get enough people to join
A few days later, Jeff posted an update to inform that he has managed to get a significant number of attendees to proceed with the event.
He then posted more details, such as the time and exact location where they will meet to smoke cigarettes together. He also reminded everyone to bring their own ashtray, and that illegal substances are not allowed at his gathering.
