A mosque secretary in Bukit Baru, Melaka, has been caught red-handed watching pornographic videos on a computer inside the mosque office – and the whole thing was filmed and posted online.
The incident, which allegedly happened in December last year, came to light after a passerby noticed something suspicious through the office’s glass window.
According to a nearly two-minute video circulating on social media, the man recording – who is the mosque’s Imam, Muhammad Adhan Adnan – was at the mosque to witness a marriage ceremony when he happened to glance through the office window.
That’s when he saw explicit content playing on the computer screen inside.
The mosque secretary, realizing he’d been spotted, reportedly panicked and quickly closed the screen.

Imam Resigns In Protest
In a dramatic turn of events, Muhammad Adhan later submitted his resignation letter effective 21 January.
In his resignation letter addressed to the mosque management, committee members, and syarak officers, he explained his decision to step down.
“I am doing this because I comply with the directive from the management regarding the ongoing issue related to the misconduct of the secretary in the mosque,” he wrote.
However, he expressed deep disappointment with how the mosque management handled the situation.
I also want to express my disappointment towards the mosque management because they were too weak and afraid to take action against the secretary who watched pornographic videos in the mosque, using mosque equipment on 21 December, 2025, even though evidence was provided.
He also said the mosque management didn’t stand up for him when people started twisting the story and even cursing him out for trying to expose what happened in the mosque.

State Exco To Discuss Action
Melaka’s Education, Higher Education and Religious Affairs exco member Datuk Rahmad Mariman confirmed that authorities are aware of the incident and will be taking appropriate action.
I will bring this issue up for any necessary action at the mosque committee meeting, or JKTU (Jawatankuasa Tadbir Urus Masjid), next week.
The video has blown up online, with people absolutely furious about what happened – especially since it was in a mosque and the guy was supposed to be looking after the place.
Meanwhile, many have questioned why the imam who exposed the wrongdoing was forced to resign while the culprit appears to be getting off scot-free.
